Certainly not! The amount of vitamin D3 and B12 in Yummygums Kids is safe. The amount of vitamin D is exactly that recommended by the Health Council. The amount of vitamin B12 is slightly higher, but far from the upper limit for children.
Sugar-free Yummygums contain stevia and maltitol. Stevia is a natural sweetener extracted from the leaves of the stevia plant. Maltitol is a sugar substitute containing 75-90% of the sweetness. It is obtained from maltose (malt sugar), which comes from wheat or maize. This sweetener has almost the same properties as sugar, only it is a lot healthier! Maltitol is very low in calories, is better for your teeth and has less effect on your blood sugar level. Sweeteners are suitable for children, unless they ingest an excessive amount. Don’t worry, Yummygums Kids only contains a little bit of maltitol syrup and stevia.
If in doubt, always consult a doctor before starting to take supplements. This way, you can be sure that you can safely use Yummygums in your situation and in addition to any (prescription) medications you use.
The RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) for children (determined by the Health Council) is lower for some vitamins than for adults, because children need fewer vitamins. However, it is required by law to indicate the recommended daily dose for adults on the label. But luckily, we make it simple: with 1 Yummygums Kids your child will receive a normal and safe dose.
