Sugar-free Yummygums contain stevia and maltitol. Stevia is a natural sweetener extracted from the leaves of the stevia plant. Maltitol is a sugar substitute that contains 75 to 90% of the sweetness. It is extracted from maltose (malt sugar), which comes from wheat or corn. This sweetener has almost the same properties as sugar, only it is much healthier! Maltitol is very low in calories, is better for your teeth and has less effect on blood sugar.
The colors and flavors we use for our vitamins come from plant sources. Colorants are extracted from sources such as carrot and blackcurrant. The aromas come from the fruit.
